Hurricane Katrina Sources: In the wake of hurricane Katrina's terrible devastation, the CDC has created a resource site for hurricanes : resources currently include a guideline for water purification and CMS guidelines for patients on dialysis. To be posted very soon will be hand hygiene resources, water safety information, and infection control guidance for community shelters. APIC is working with SHEA and other groups to provide whatever resources may be needed. CHICA is going to contribute soon.
Global Infection Control Website in conjunction with the IFIC. CHICA-Canada is proud to present the Global Infection Control Website in conjunction with the IFIC. Visit this site at http://www.chica.org/ific/ific.html for a calendar of international conferences, educational courses and certification programs in infection control. This Global Website will continue to evolve and grow as IFIC approved information is added to the site. We encourage Infection Control associations/groups with websites to link to this site. Plans include adding the ability for Infection Control Professionals to directly input information for posting consideration. Many thanks to CHICA-Canada webmaster Shirley McDonald and CHICA-Canada Website Manager Adrienne Brown for bringing this concept to reality.
