Full membership in IFIC is offered to societies, associations and organizations which provide or who are concerned with the provision of healthcare in premises anywhere in the world and which have a concern about Infection Prevention & Control. IFIC member organizations should be governed by constitution and have a local area of operation.
Why become an IFIC Member Society?
Utilize an opportunity to network and receive support
IFIC offers its member societies the opportunity to know, to share and to learn from each other. By being part of a network, they share experiences and publications and collaborate in improving infection prevention and control through the knowledge of practices and programs coming from many different countries. Membership also provides an opportunity to “influence” practice, and by bouncing ideas, projects and concepts off each other as well as provide support to others.
Define and contribute to IPC challenges facing global healthcare.
Member societies have the possibility to nominate representatives to the board or to serve on committees, as well as to host high-profile international conferences or symposia in collaboration with IFIC. Furthermore, IFIC has a strong working relationship with the World Health Organization and other entities that are globally active in IPC.
Support IPC in developing countries or institutions
Member societies are vital contributors to IFIC’s mission of helping improve, strengthen and support infection prevention and control, provide essential educational material and tools for member societies and sharing of experience and expertise with other societies, particularly those in developing countries or low resource environments. Societies with established expertise and resources have the possibility to offer support to others that may just be starting and/or are struggling to develop infection prevention and control.
