The 5th Biennial Australian Infection Control Association (AICA) Conference 2008 - 8th - 10th October, 2008 - Melbourne, Australia

Conference Objectives: Infection control is practiced in diverse healthcare systems across the globe often working within complex and challenging environments. This year's Conference theme "Challenge Resistance" recognises the many challenges faced by today's infection control staff. "Challenge Resistance" not only refers to resistant pathogens, but also resistant healthcare workers, systems, processes, institutions and bureaucracies. All of these factors must be considered in an effort to provide safer healthcare.

This Conference aims to provide a forum for exchange of ideas in the ever changing climate of infection prevention and control as well as provide educational opportunities for all infection control personnel from novice to expert. I invite you to take advantage of this opportunity to network and build relationships with your colleagues from around Australia.

Conference Organisers: Australian Infection Control Association (AICA)

Conference Venue : Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), Melbourne, Australia
