Terrie is the Director of Clinical Epidemiology (Infection Prevention) and Employee Health, at the Charleston Area Medical Center in the United States and has worked in Infection Prevention and Control since 1980.  Since 1997 she has been very active on The Certification Board of Infection and Epidemiology and currently (2011) is its president.  Ms Lee has worked with the APIC Consulting Services in Pennsylvania hospitals to evaluate reported CLABSI and CAUTI surveillance data and in Maryland hospitals to evaluate reported CLABSI surveillance data and to provide coaching/training in NHSN methods.  With the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC Terrie was a participant in HHS-sponsored meeting on “Refining Surveillance Definitions for Ventilator-Associated Lower Respiratory Infections”.
Her editorial/review activities with The American Journal of Infection Control (AJIC) have been as a Guest Co-editor and to the present time since 1996 Ms Lee is a manuscript reviewer.  Her teaching and international presentation experience is extensive and she has published extensively.  Her commitment to the profession of Infection Prevention and Control is exemplified in her participation and activities with professional committees such as her membership on her home state’s Healthcare Associated Infection Control Advisory Panel (re: public reporting of infections), and the  Advisory Panel for WV Department of Health and Human Resources, Public Health Planning for Prevention of HAIs. Terrie has volunteer for many years on the National and Regional level in APIC
