Dr. Nizam Damani
MBBS, MSc (Lond), FRCP, FRCPath.
Dr. Damani qualified at the Dow Medical College , Karachi , Pakistan . Before coming to the London , England , he spent two years at the Aga Khan Hospital , Nairobi , Kenya . He also worked at the Royal Victoria and Belfast City hospital, Belfast . Currently he is Consultant Microbiologist and Clinical Director of Southern Area Pathology Services at Craigavon Area Hospital , Northern Ireland .
He is PhD examiner for the University of Karachi, Pakistan and also lecturer at the Queen's University, Belfast . As one of the founder members of the Infection Control Society of Pakistan has been responsible for setting up the infection control programmes in various health care institution in Pakistan
He is author of several papers and books on Infection control and Antibiotics.
As Treasurer of IFIC it is his responsibility to ensure that membership fees are collected on a regular basis. He is also responsible for the authorisation of expenditure from funds in accordance with proper procedures and protocols as laid out in the IFIC constitution.
As IFIC Treasurer he makes certain that IFIC finances are always in healthy state so that we can fulfil the aims of IFIC in education and assistance to our member organisation.
